PRESIDENT-ELECT
The President-Elect shall assist the President and the Executive Board as directed, prepare for the coming term as President, perform all of the responsibilities of the President in his/her absence, disability, or at the request of the President. The President-Elect shall be elected for a one year term prior to assuming the one year President role and one year Past-President role (3 years total).
Responsibilities include the following:
- Review the bylaws of the Association and recommend any amendments to the Executive Board. Changes to the bylaws must be approved by a vote of the membership.
- If changes to the bylaws are needed, develop a ballot to be emailed to the membership. A thirty (30)-day notice to the membership is required before a change can be approved.
- Review Policy and Procedures Manual annually.
- Recommend any changes to the Executive Board.
- Document all changes made by inserting a revision date in the footnotes.
- Update appendices with current details for elections, SEOTY, awards, travel and expense forms, etc.
- Oversee the State Liaison Program offering an annual State Liaison Training in preparation for National Student Employment Week
