WASEA Membership Information

Welcome
There are many challenges facing the workplace today;  downsizing, the increasing importance of student employees, legal issues, reauthorization, the America Reads Program, community service, changes in technology, funding fluctuations, etc.  Meeting those challenges requires creativity, innovation and the ability to look beyond "the way it's always been done."   The members of WASEA successfully master these charges everyday and are ready and willing to share their knowledge and expertise with you.  Join the network and find out how to improve services to students and communicate more effectively with employers,   learn and grow professionally, and take your programs to new heights.  We look forward to working with you.

Membership Information
The Western Association of Student Employment Administrators (WASEA) is a regional organization with a seven member-elected board whose purpose is:

  • to IMPROVE professional services to school administrators who assist students in security employment;
  • to INFORM members of trends in employment and professional development, including interpretation of governmental guidelines related to financial aid, placement, human resources, and student employment;
  • to EXCHANGE ideas and information relative to the administration of student employment programs;
  • to SERVE effectively the interest and needs of students who desire employment to finance their education;
  • to FACILITATE communication between educational institutions and employers.
